Current Programs

World Class Schools of Leon County works as a community liaison group to assist Superintendent Jackie Pons and the Leon County School Board in meeting their 2007-2008 Leon County Schools priorities:

  • School Safety and security of all the facilities
  • School Reform to help all students succeed, improve graduation rates, and improve the achievement gap
  • Staff Effectiveness to insure that every student will have highly qualified teachers and every school will have qualified & effective leadership
  • Effective Magnet & Choice Options to keep students motivated, evaluate under-utilized schools, and establish academies for career alternatives
  • Parent & Community Communication & Involvement to support student achievement, school initiatives and; shared decision making
